# Appearance & Branding

The estimator lives on your website, so it should feel like part of your brand, not a generic tool bolted on. You control the colours, fonts, icons, and visual style to match what families already see when they visit your site.

To update your appearance settings, go to **Estimator → Appearance**.

## Accent colour

Your primary brand colour, used for buttons, selected option highlights, and the sticky price bar that follows families as they build their estimate.

Set your accent colour here to match your brand. It's used across the estimator wherever colour is applied.

<Note>
  Choose a colour that has enough contrast against white backgrounds, very light colours (pale yellows, soft pinks) can make buttons hard to read. If in doubt, a deep navy, forest green, or warm charcoal almost always works well.
</Note>

## Font

Choose from around 10 carefully selected typefaces that are clean, readable, and work well at the sizes families will see in your estimator:

| Font              | Character                                                        |
| ----------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| System default | Matches whatever font the family's device uses, fast, no loading |
| Poppins           | Geometric, friendly, modern                                      |
| DM Sans | Clean and contemporary, good for minimalist brands |
| Inter | Neutral and highly readable, very popular in digital products |
| Outfit | Rounded, approachable, slightly informal |
| Plus Jakarta Sans | Refined and professional |
| Nunito Sans | Soft, warm, slightly rounded |
| Source Sans 3 | Classic and highly legible |
| Lato              | Humanist, warm, versatile                                        |
| Raleway | Elegant, slightly formal, distinctive |

All fonts are loaded from Bunny Fonts, a GDPR-compliant font service that doesn't track your visitors the way Google Fonts does.

<Tip>
  If you're not sure which font to pick, choose the one closest to the font on your website. Consistency between your site and the estimator makes the whole experience feel more polished.

## Icon theme

Decorative icons appear throughout the estimator, on category cards, the greeting screen, and the estimate summary. You can choose the style that best matches your brand personality:

**Line-art**, Minimal, clean, modern. Works well for contemporary, design-forward funeral homes.

**Botanical**, Floral and natural motifs. Gentle and organic, suits businesses with a warm, nature-inspired identity.

**Classic**, Traditional iconography with a formal feel. A natural fit for long-established funeral homes with a heritage identity.

**Modern**, Contemporary shapes, slightly bolder. Good for businesses that are updating their brand or appealing to a younger demographic.

## Background colour

The base colour behind the estimator. The default is a warm parchment tone that feels considered without being clinical.

You can change this to match your website's background, if your site uses a white background, switch to white so the estimator sits flush. If your site uses a dark or coloured background, you can adjust accordingly.

## Border radius

Controls how rounded the corners are on cards and selection states throughout the estimator.

* **Lower values** (sharper corners) → more formal, more traditional
* **Higher values** (rounder corners) → more friendly, more contemporary

There's no wrong answer, it's about matching the visual character of your brand.

## Button border radius

Buttons can have their own rounding, separate from the general border radius. This lets you fine-tune the look, for example, you might want square cards but pill-shaped buttons, or the other way around.
